Greece beat Luxembourg in Athens Greece continued their push towards winning European Nations Cup 3C with a 17-9 win over Luxembourg in Athens on Saturday.

Greece, who beat Finland a fortnight ago in Patras, were slow out of the blocks as Luxembourg found the mark twice from the boot to open up a 6-0 half-time lead.

However, the Greeks came firing back with two tries from fly-half Giorgos Tsatsaronis and replacement Beka Bekaouri. Both were converted by Thomas Mamakopoulos who also added a penalty.

Luxembourg added three more points from the boot but it was not enough to prevent Greece from setting up an imposing table-topping encounter with Israel next month.
