Greece's hopes of adding another sailing medal to its already meagre collection hit the rocks on Wednesday when Iordanis Paschalidis and Konstantinos Trigonis dropped out of contention in the Tornado class.

Starting the day in the bronze medal position, Paschalidis and Trigonis had a terrible day finishing tenth, sixth and 13th in their three races.
They have now slipped to eighth overall - 16 points off bronze - with just the medal race left
The RS:X windsurfing came to a disappointing end for Nikolaos Kaklamankis who went OCS in the medal race and ended up eighth overall.

Konstantinos Douvalidis has made it through to the semi-finals of the 110 metres hurdles in spite of only coming fourth in his second round heat.
Douvalidis broke the national record for the second race in succession as he finished in 13.43 seconds.
With only the top three qualifying automatically, he then had to wait for the other three heats to be concluded before his place was confirmed as one of the four lucky losers.
Elsewhere in track and field Piyi Devetzi, who won the bronze in the triple jump on Sunday, missed out on a place in the long jump final with a leap of 6.57 metres.
Sava Lika failed to qualify for the jaelin final after only managing a best throw of 59.11 metres.
Evanthia Makrygianni and Despina Solomou made it through to the final of the synchronized swimming duets. The came tenth in qualifying.
Iordanis Paschalidis and Konstinatinos Trigonis will have to wait a bit longer to push on with their bid for a medal in the Tornado class sailing. Their race today was postponed leaving them in third place with 32 points, one ahead of Argentina and Italy and two ahead of Germany and the Netherlands.
Nikolaos Kaklamanakis will finish outside the medals in the RS:X windsurfing. He remains in 6th spot with just the medal race to come Athena Frai 15th in the women's event.
