The rare sight of snow falling across the Greek mainland was enough to blow Panathinaikos's hopes of returning to the top of the Super League on Sunday.
Their game against Atromitos was one of three called off as blizzards caused mayhem around the country.
AEK Athens game against Xanthi at what should rightfully be called SnowAKA was also affected along with the match between Levadiakos and Iraklis.
The postponements mean that Olympiakos remain top of the Super League following their 1-0 win over Ergotelis on Saturday. They have 47 points, one more than Panathinaikos who are four points clear of third-placed AEK Athens.
The Super League announced the games will be played within two weeks, but not on Monday, as the rules suggest.
Three games, however, did survive the weather on Sunday.
PAOK produced a solid performance and a goal in each half to beat Apollon Kalamarias 2-0 away.
Vassilis Lakis scored the opener with a fierce volley from just outside the area after 29 minutes.
Giorgos Barkoglou should have levelled from the penalty spot but PAOK's Portuguese goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes produced a slightly lucky save with his feet to keep the kick out.
Six minutes from time, Serbian midfielder Ivica Iliev pounced on a terrible mistake in defence to fire home a second.
OFI Crete eased their relegation worries with a convincing 3-0 win over Veria. Stelios Sfakianakis scored one in each half with Aleksander Simic adding a third.
The other game between fourth-placed Aris and fifth-placed Asteras Tripolis kicked off almost an hour late because of a banner against the president of the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF).
The referee said the game would not start unless the Aris fans removed their banner; the solution came from Aris president, Lambros Skordas who unhooked it by himself.
When it got underway Aris strengthened their grip on fourth place with a 2-0 win in spite of playing most of the game with just ten men.
Spanish striker Koke put Aris ahead after 13 minutes before Konstantinos Nebegleras was sent off for a clumsy challenge in the 26th minute.
Aris clung on a hit the killer blow nine minutes into the second half through Brazilian defender Marco Aurelio.
